Danielle grew up on the Central Coast in NSW, surrounded by national parks and beaches. Her strong connection to wildlife solidified when she rescued a turtle at age 8 and has since been invested in the plight of animals everywhere. As an adult she fell in love with scuba diving and with her passion for the ocean combined with her wealth of experience in filmmaking, she is committed to telling stories that will help protect wildlife and raise awareness.
Navigating both narrative and documentary, Danielle is a Writer/Producer/Editor. Her credits include documentary POINT FORWARD (in-production, Writer/Producer) and documentary LAST MEAL (2020, Producer) which was selected for over 20 festivals including the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival. Other films of note are CLOSE IN HEART (2014, Writer/Producer) funded through Screen Australia and PARDESI (2010, Writer/Producer/Director) winner of the Oz Asia film festival. Danielle produces films under the banner of Cinemache, and is General Manager of production company, Adelaide Film Works.
Wild Earth Oceania is an unparalleled opportunity for passionate filmmakers to unite in a shared mission: advocating for the incredible wildlife that go unheard and overlooked. The chance to contribute by bringing these profound and compelling wildlife stories to the global stage fills me with immense enthusiasm and I am proud to be part of the WEO team.
